Beers On Tap
as of : July 20th

  • Birth of Ace

    Brett IPA | 8.2% ABV, 80 IBU

An IPA designed by our alumnus brewer Alex Lynch, fermented with our house Brettanomyces bruxellensis strain isolated by Jasper Akerboom, fermented and aged for several months. The hops used in this beer complement the pineapple-aromas and fruitiness produced by the Brett perfectly. Funky, earthy and fruity, intense tartness and lingering bitterness.

  • Face Plant IPA

India Pale Ale | 6.2% ABV, 65 IBU

A strong malty backbone balances the mountain of whole cone hops we pack into our American style IPA. Moderate grapefruit bitterness and herbal aromas take your pallet for a ride.

  • Final Glide

Hefeweizen Unfiltered Wheat | 5.2% ABV, 14 IBU

A Bavarian-style hefeweizen brewed with malted german wheat. The ferrulic rest in the brew schedule gives the authentic German hefe strain the potential to create these nice banana and clove phenols you'll recognize. True to style, served in our signature hefeweizen glass, a great beer for those warm summer days.

  • Meridian Kolsch

    Kolsch | 5% ABV, 25 IBU

  • New River Pale Ale

American Pale Ale | 5.4% ABV, 34 IBU

Three hop additions in the boil and gloriously dry hopped; New River is an extremely aromatic American-style pale ale. The use of American Crystal and Munich malts create sweetness in the finish, balancing the hop bitterness nicely. Our blend of Pacific Northwest hops (Amarillo, Cascade, Columbus, and Centennial) generates lemony, citrusy and piney aromas and flavors, with a touch of sweet tropical fruit.

  • Rhino Chasers Pilsner

    Bohemian Pilsner | 5.6% ABV, 45 IBU

With a rich and dense creamy head, this crisp golden lager is clean and refreshing. Premium Pilsner and Munich malts generate a malty-sweet backbone, but the hops really make this brew stand out. US grown Hallertau and Saaz hops give rise to the spicy hop flavor and fresh aromas in this beer. Uncluttered and sharp, our pilsner relies on the basics of lager brewing: great water, excellent ingredients, solid brewing practices, and lots of patience.

  • Root Beer

    | 0% ABV, 0 IBU

  • Smokey & the Rhino

Mesquite Smoked Lager | 5.1% ABV, 20 IBU

Pale Gold Lager with a delightful touch of sweet smokiness from Virginia grown Barley, malted and mesquite smoked by Copper Fox Distillery. Lost Rhino Brewers Favio Garcia and Jasper Ackerboom collaborated with Travis Tedrow from GB-Navy Yard for this distinctive brew.

  • Steam Punk

Unfiltered Amber Lager | 4.5% ABV, 28 IBU

Brewed in the California Common Style, this light amber brew has the unique flavor of a warm fermented lager and Pacific Northwest hop. In the 19th Century, California brewers were unable to control fermentation temperatures so; they were obliged to use their lager yeast at temperatures warmer than customary for traditional lager.

  • Tupper's Rye Pale Ale

Rye Pale Ale | 7.9% ABV, 75 IBU

Rye Pale Ale, unfiltered, resinous hops, balanced malt sweetness

  • Wandering Belgian

India Pale Ale | 6.1% ABV, 60 IBU

Wandering Belgian IPA is collaborative beer brewed at Lost Rhino by DC Homebrewers Josh Hubner and Mike Stein. The beer has a bouquet of Belgian yeast-derived flavors like bubblegum, fruit ester, and subtle spice. Late kettle additions of Hallertau and Columbus hops create a lasting herbal complexity. Cascade and Saaz hops were used in the hopback, and Cascade was used to dry hop. Belgian amber candi sugar provides a touch of color and contributes to its long, dry, finish. This golden hop-forward ale is surprisingly smooth and is sure to please brewmasters and homebrewers alike.
